Blog Commenting as a form of Link Building

Admin, August 5, 2011

A lot of people when they think about doing blog comments they most likely think of a negative way of doing link building. But when doing blog commenting the correct way it is actually a good way to get some extra backlinks.

The reason why people think it is spamming is because a lot of people misuse this technique as a quick way of getting a massive amount of backlinks, with all of the software and bot’s to leave comments on blog posts. You will often see comments like “Thanks for the post I found it useful information” obviously this is spam if you see a link at the end of it. This is similar to people doing forum posts just to get the link from their signature posted.

To do blog commenting the correct way it is pretty simple, take time to read the blog post and when you make a comment make it relevant to what the post is about, do not make the mistake of just reading the title of the blog post to save time and making a comment just from that. Because most likely your comment may be a bit off topic and you risk getting your comment deleted or not approved. Also another important part is making sure that the blog post is do follow, you will find that majority of the blog posts are no follow. There are a few ways to find out if a blog post Is do follow, you can either check the page source and look for the do follow tag on other comments, or there are various IE add-ons or Firefox add-ons that highlight no follow links.

There are a few other important aspects of blog commenting to maximize the effect, obviously a higher pagerank blog post to leave a comment on will give you a larger benefit, but also if you are able to find a blog post that relates to the page you are promoting is even better. If you leave a blog comment on a pet blog post and your site is about games most likely the effect will be minimal.

Now you may ask where can I find these blog’s to leave comments on. This is the hard part, you could do some searching in Google but it can take a lot of time. The ideal way to find do follow blog posts is getting one of the various blog finding software programs. I won’t promote any specific programs but if you do a search in Google for “Blog Commenting software” you will get an idea. But I would stay away from those automatic blog commenting program’s as they have spamming methods. You want to look for program’s that simply search for do follow blogs and you can search by keywords.

If you take the time and leave meaningful blog comments on do follow blogs you can find yourself with some extra backlinks.

How to Choose a Good SEO Company

Admin, March 28, 2011

The SEO company must be able to fulfill what it advertised on the site. For example, if the SEO company guarantees 300 links within 2 months, it must fulfill it. Many SEO companies are vague about the services that they offer. Most novice customer will just buy the SEO services without even knowing what specific tasks they are going to carry out. If you don’t know what SEO services they perform, you might get cheated by them.

Good SEO company will always list out the tasks which they will perform for your website. Scam SEO companies usually don’t describe the tasks because they don’t want you to know that they are using blackhat SEO method. It seems that they don’t want to let you know something so they don’t list the tasks. It is not clear enough for a SEO company to state they will perform article submission, social bookmarking, blog commenting and etc. Instead, the SEO company must state the services in detail, for example, 3 articles submitted to 200 directories, 100 guaranteed approved blog commenting and etc.

The more details the description include, the easier you will be able to compare it with other SEO services. It is important to compare the SEO services so that you can save money. After you have read the description, you should talk to the customer representative to learn more about the SEO service. You must let the representative know the plan which you are interested to buy. If you have any questions, you can ask them while you are on the phone with the representative. Besides, you can ask them to show you their portfolio. The websites in the portfolio should be ranking well in the search engine.

If the SEO company offers directory submission, make sure the submission process is done manually. It is best that submission services are spread out over a few months. If the submission service is spread out over a few months, the link will be built up slowly. Natural link building can effectively help your site to achieve the top ranking position. Automated submission to the directories will cause your site to be blacklisted and get banned by the search engine. With automated submission, the SEO company can only submit your site to one category. Sometimes, the category which your site is submitted is not the most relevant one. As a result, the editor will reject the submission.

Every SEO company must provide a SEO report to inform you about the progress of your site. The SEO report is usually sent monthly to the customer. Some SEO company doesn’t send SEO report. If the company doesn’t send SEO report, there is no way you can determine whether they are doing their work. In addition, you won’t know about the progress of your site. If you don’t know the progress of your site, it won’t be worth it to buy the SEO service. If the SEO company don’t provide a SEO report, you should avoid them. Good SEO service will inform you that they will provide a SEO report from the start. To get an idea of how the SEO report look like, you can request them to provide you with a sample. The SEO report must be well structured and contain as much details as possible.

The Right SEO Strategy Ahead

Admin, March 27, 2011

What comes to your mind when you think of SEO; Is it link building, Meta tagging, keywords discovery, higher traffic & conversions, social bookmarking, making money online, social media, article submissions, Twitter, reputation management, web directory submissions, Google, optimization of pages, blogging …

While the SEO process includes all the elements mentioned above, what’s missing in this puzzle is how they all come together as a “focused strategy” to ensure the success of your online business.

Now there are many paths to SEO success, and all may work and show results (some temporarily), so how does one decide what’s the “right strategy” for their business?

The Right SEO Strategy for Your Business:

- Does your SEO strategy make common sense?
- Is it consistent?
- Is it immediate? Syndicate and Promote your Content
- Is it delivering “constant value” for the users?
- Can your SEO strategy be sustained over the lifetime of your business?
- Does it reflect the values and ethics of your organization?

Winning keyword strategy

Identify winning keywords which users are using to reach your website. Check traffic potential and competition of those keywords. Finalize on 10 to 15 primary keywords with maximum traffic potential Finalize on 12 to 15 secondary keywords each Month and write articles to target those keywords as well as support the primary keywords pages on the website. These are long tail versions of the keywords. Start with targeting city centric keywords (seo expert mumbai), and after some success, move to the country centric keywords (seo expert india), and finally global keywords (seo expert).

On page optimization strategy

Focus your pages i.e. page name, title, description, other relevant Meta tags, and the body content around a specific keyword. What this means is that you create ONE PAGE of content themed AROUND one KEYWORD you want to target, and include the keyword in your page name, title, description, and other relevant Meta tags on that page. Identify current site structure, and keyword mapping possibilities. Optimize each page of the website. Create better titles, description and tweak other relevant Meta tags for the existing pages. Set up Google Local account/ Google maps. Set up Google Analytics/ Google Webmaster (if not already done so)

Content strategy

Write 3 to 4 innovative articles each week, for posting to the Blog/ Article section on the website. The articles are written around specific secondary keywords we want to target.

Blogging strategy

We will be adding 3 to 4 articles on the blog each WEEK Submitting blog to 10 relevant blog search engines and 15 blog directories Get 4 – 5 prominent bloggers to do a review on the website every 2 Months

Weekly strategy (this is the heart of the activity)

Natural Link Building, Social Media & Reputation Management

Be consistent in creating unique, compelling and resourceful content in the form of articles/ blog posts – 3 to 4 a WEEK. The articles will be provided by the client each week. The article topics will be focused around keywords we want to target. Be consistent in building internal links and external links on the article pages. Internal links will be used from within the content to point to (with combinations of anchor text) another page of related information or the primary keyword pages on the website, and external links point out of your domain to other useful sites and resources. In moderation both are useful in determining the PR (Page Rank) of that page. Be consistent in syndication of the articles to 10 relevant and popular article submissions sites each WEEK. (Build Author Reputation, Traffic, Natural Links) Be consistent in promotion of the same content links across 10 – 15 relevant and popular social bookmarking sites each WEEK. (enhance Social Reputation, Traffic, Natural Links) Be consistent in attracting 3 to 5 user thumbs up/ reviews for same content each WEEK. (Enhance Social Reputation, Traffic, Natural Links) Be consistent in submitting content links to Twitter & Stumble Upon each WEEK Be consistent in participating in 3 to 4 relevant blogs, by blog commenting and forum postings each WEEK. (Natural Links, Website reputation/Page Rank) Be consistent in ALL OF THE ABOVE each WEEK

BENEFITS: Enhance Social reputation, Web reputation (Page Rank) and Link reputation (Natural and Diverse links) by participating in relevant social, user and web communities. Increase Traffic. Higher Ranking for your Keywords.

Monthly seo strategy

Be consistent in submitting to 100 web directories each MONTH Be consistent in submitting to 100 social media sites each MONTH Be consistent in submitting 1 Press release to Top 5 PR sites each MONTH. Be consistent in monitoring site traffic, keywords performance and competition Be consistent in sending Report on link submissions (with PR) & traffic analysis report each MONTH Be consistent in “adding user value” for the users in way of innovative and entertaining content ideas, quizzes, tools, podcasts and videos. Be consistent in ALL OF THE ABOVE each MONTH

BENEFITS: Build quality links from diverse web, user and social communities.

EXPECTED DELIVERABLES FROM YOUR SEO STRATEGY

Page #1 results for 70 % of the selected city centric keywords in 4 months Page #1 results for 70 % of the selected county centric keywords within 6 months Increase Traffic sources from Stumble Upon, Twitter, Article Sites, Social media sites Increase traffic from Search engines (Google & Yahoo primarily, MSN) Increase conversions to the website & increase ROI

Off-Page Black Hat SEO Techniques That Can Get You Into Trouble With the Search Engines

Admin, March 26, 2011

1. Link farms-it is sometimes referred to as mutual admiration societies. This refers to several websites that are linking with each other with the sole purpose of increasing their link popularity. This usually done with the help of programs that automate the process.

Link farms are different from web directories because the latter arranges the websites according to their categories. Also, unlike link farms where anyone who is willing to provide reciprocal links can join, web directories undergo human examiners to check the validity of the sites.

Note for people who thinks that engaging in link farms is the solution to their problem: Link farms no longer work nowadays because search engines, especially Google, neither use link popularity as the sole basis for website ranking nor base link popularity solely on the number of incoming links.

Now, Google implements Page Ranks (PR). They assign numbers 1 to 10 to different websites-1 as the lowest and 10, the highest. The links that come from authoritative websites or with higher PR are deemed as powerful “votes”. Thus, the more powerful links you acquire, the better your ranking and the higher your PR rate will be.

Examples of websites that seem to have consistently high PR are government and school websites. These sites end with.gov or.edu, respectively

2. Hidden Links/Invisible Texts

This blackhat SEO technique is usually done in conjunction to link farms. Although the links may not be relevant to the content of the site, some webmasters do they realized that to retain the incoming link vote they must also maintain the outgoing link vote.

Webmasters create a separate page that they fill with keywords that may or may not be related to the topic of their site. This is definitely not for human users because the texts are invisible to the human eye, but visible to the search robots.

People who engage in link farms may agree to make their links to each other invisible to be interpreted by the search engines as link votes. Keep in mind that if search engines can detect invisible texts, they can also detect invisible links. If they can ban or sanction websites with invisible texts, they can also sanction websites with invisible links.

3. Spamming Forums and Blogs

This is done by creating several posts on forums and blog comment sections that contain links that point towards a particular website with the purpose of increasing link popularity. Most often than not, posts include short messages (hello, smiley face) and then the links

Other blackhat SEO enthusiasts go as far as using programs to automate the process. This process is easily performed on WordPress sites because it accepts HTML codes and links.

Bad news is, forums and blog owners are now more vigilant in blocking these spammers. They either ban or delete people who merely posts one-liners, smileys and links. Some even require people to reach a certain number of posts before they are allowed to post links.

For WordPress blogs, you can regulate these types of spammy messages by having a list of words that are frequently used by these spammers. WordPress, automatically send several comments that contain those words in the spam box. This is more efficient that IP Panning because other spammers can utilize dynamic IP add or use other computers.

In the eyes of the search engines, these techniques are downright deceptive and unethical. It takes advantage of their system’s flaws to rank in the search results. To prevent people from abusing the system, search engines constantly update their system to track down and sanction websites that utilize blackhat SEO techniques.

Admin, March 25, 2011

For your search engine optimization campaign to be successful, employing the most effective link building techniques and skills is a must. In fact, link building in SEO has become one of the most important aspects of a successful business online. While using a keyword-rich or quality content can deliver your website at the top of search engine results, there are some other methods that guarantee excellent page ranking.

Link building Methodology :

Link building is a method by which you build backlinks to your website so it can be better indexed in major search engines, including Google and Yahoo. The more backlinks you have, the more traffic your website generates. Building links plays a vital role in your SEO campaign and in the visibility of your website. This, however, depends on the website or the directory where you have submitted your links.

Links that are posted on authority or credible directories tend to have a greater value than those that are posted on ordinary blogs and websites. Similarly, links that are posted on relevant sites are more likely to be recognized by search engines.

Building links may sound easy but it’s not. What makes it a difficult task is the fact that search engines don’t easily recognize artificially-created links. Instead, these engines would go for links from known and quality websites. It is also important to know that search engines have the ability to recognize the difference between a forum signature or blog comments and a website link in an article.

Building your links is also a continuous and a time-consuming process and requires your constant attention and monitoring. In fact, many choose to outsource this important aspect of SEO so they can better concentrate on other important functions of their businesses. Meanwhile, bloggers or webmasters who don’t outsource to a link builder find forum signatures and blog commenting as the easiest ways to build links. These methods, however, is not as effective as the methods that SEO companies offer.

Good SEO companies know how important link building in SEO campaign is. Building your backlinks means improving your presence online and making your website more valuable to many internet users. Outsource your campaign to reputable SEO Outsourcing India Company, let them deal with those time consuming and tedious tasks. This gives you time to concentrate more on your business.

Right SEO With Blogging – Money From Blogs

Admin, March 22, 2011

Blog itself is a very effective invention that helps to reach real success with blogging for money, profit or hobby. However, a nice SEO blogging software can make real wonders with the positions of your blog in search engines, traffic to the blog and profits.

SEO stands for search engine optimization. So I will talk about search engine optimization. What does this SEO mean? SEO means to take necessary actions so your blog is search engine friendly Free search engine optimized blog content starts with the address of your blog. Never underestimate the power of including important keywords in the address of your blog.

It is a fact that when leading search engine robots spider your site, they quickly take note of the keywords in the title and the result is that your site is ranked highly in search engine results for that particular keyword phrase.

SEO is now known to be the new genre in web hosting for it helps the site in many ways. Using this kind of web hosting you can expect a lesser competition from the other website in comparison to the ordinary web hosting. The common web hosting that we all know only provides the site’s need, but they can’t optimize and brings visitors.

SEO blogging is all about informing first and then leading to a sale. People go to blogs for info, sometimes pictures, sometimes to buy but not always. If you post a dozen articles on some business angle, say “How to Save Money on Taxes” and then you offer, later, a $10 report on how to do this legally, bingo, you might get new customers.

Blogging is a unique kind of SEO technique. There are proven SEO blogging techniques that one can apply, so that more and more people enter our website. I prefer WordPress over everything else because of its flexibility and because of the fact it is free. Another huge reason is the support in the open source community.

Certainly having a higher page ranking on search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN is going to help increase the chances of you getting traffic coming to your blog. The more visitors you have to your blog, then the more chances you have of making online money through the ads that you place on them.

Once your blog becomes successful, visitors to it are likely to start posting their own comments and so leaving their own URLs. A good software program will be one that helps you to decide whether you share outgoing links or not in the posts.

The best part about optimizing your blog is the fact that you can begin ranking for some longer keyword phrases very quickly in Google. These long phrases really add up and can bring you a lot of traffic as you continue to use your SEO blogging software to optimize for more competitive phrases.

One of the best SEO blogging software platforms I know of is WordPress. This may not be exactly what you were expecting to read, so let me explain myself.

A Review Of Brian?s Threaded Comments WordPress Plugin ? A Simple Addition That Can Spell A World Of Difference For Your Blog

Admin, March 21, 2011

One of the best features of a blog is its power to enable visitors to leave their comments about a particular entry.  This feature is, in fact, what makes blogs amazing options for marketing purposes.  Comments transform blogs from being more than mere content management systems to being interactive tools that can build great relationships between blog owners (the businessman) and his readers (the businessman’s prospects).

Just imagine what this comments feature can do:

-          By enabling visitors to leave their comments, blog owners can garner essential feedback and suggestions on how to make their blogs and their businesses better.

-          By allows visitors to leave their comments, businessmen can transform their blogs into efficient post-sales service tools for technical or purchase-related support.

-          Comments are also good for SEO purposes.  They provide the dynamic, constantly updated content that search engines love.  As a result, search engine spiders are more likely to visit blog pages where comments are enabled and activities are high.

The problem with WordPress blogs is that their comments feature is pretty straightforward.  People comment, and their words are published right below the blog entry, and that’s it.  Several comments will merely form a series of text, arranged in the order of when they were posted.

No other options are provided.

Thankfully, Brian’s Threaded Comments was invented.

Brian’s Threaded Comments is a WordPress plugin that provides a wonderful solution to the dull and limited functionality of WordPress’ default commenting system.  Brian’s Threaded Comments, as its name implies, allows blog owners to automatically arrange comments into threads for easy reference and management.

Readers of a blog entry who wish to post a comment will have 2 options:

To create a new “thread” that will invite further discussions about an aspect of the topic they want to introduce; or Post a comment in an existing thread that already discusses the aspect of the topic they want to react to.

Sounds simple, right?

However, this added option opens up a world of marketing possibilities.

For example, businessmen can now use their blogs’ comment section as a ticket system where concerns about the product or service can be shared via a thread and the businessman himself or one of his staff members can answer such concerns on their respective threads.

Also, businessmen can now make each blog entry a mini-forum by itself.  Threaded comments work like online bulletin boards, after all, where posts are organized according to topics and according to categories.

Most importantly, as many users of the Brian’s Threaded Comments WordPress plugin have attested to, this add-on builds a sense of community amongst the readers.  The organized nature of the comments section somehow invites them to participate and to look forward to future blog entries where they can also interact with the author and with one another.

The lifeblood of any blog lies in its readership, and Brian’s Threaded Comments Worpress plugin will ensure that your readers will be contented enough to come back over and over and again to enjoy your updates.

How You Can Increase Blog Traffic Easily,

Admin, March 21, 2011

Most things really worth doing need more than one step to achieve. Blog commenting which might be tedious and take time, planning and sticking with it through a number of phases over extended time periods is definitely worth the effort.

Setting out to increase blog traffic isn’t any exception. Here’s the best way to do just that in five easy steps.

Step 1. Commenting On Blogs.

This is really crucial since it builds your reputation as a blogger and positions you as a expert. Blog commenting also gives you immediate traffic to your blog from the blog owner and also the blog readers. If you don’t really do that step, you will not be able to create backlinks to your blog which increases your Google Page Rank.

Step 2. Look For Relevant Blogs To Comment On.

This can be a very important step. It demands concentration along with your full attention. It might be best if you could do it in this way: search for blogs in your niche and bookmark them for commenting on them later. Here are 3 websites to start searching for blogs in your niche;

Google Blog Search
Technorati
Ice Rocket Blog Search

You could also set up Google Alerts for the categories you blog about.

Step 3. Look For Blog Communities.

The reason behind this is to have fun and connect with other bloggers. You can find blog communities at;

MyBlogLog
Blogcatalogue
Network Blogs on Facebook

Step 4. Maximize Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

To explain and elaborate on that a little.

Find another blog post on the same subject you just wrote about and link directly back to your new post. Make sure that you copy the exact link from your new post.
Comment on 3 – 5 blog posts that are about what you have just written about.
Make sure to use the keyword or keyword phrase that you used as a tag in your blog post and put it in the first sentence of the post that you are commenting on.

For example: Let’s say my keyword is “network marketing tool.” I could write in the commenting box that, “Blogging is a great network marketing tool.” Make sure that when you do this that your comment makes sense. Don’t keyword stuff your comment.

Step 5. Great Commenting Tips.

Furthermore, get a gravatar so that your picture shows up when you add your email address in your comments. A gravatar is a small picture that you see besides peoples comments. Go to http://en.gravatar.com/

When commenting write about the “buzz” and have a strong opinion good or bad. No one wants to read boring comments such as; ‘yeah me too or great comment, or thanks for the article. This is where your expertise stands out. Comment on what you know. People can always see through a fake. So be authentic!

By the end, if you have stuck with the above tips completely, you will have succeeded and now can settle-back and enjoy the benefits of your success. You could be a little bit pleased with yourself and self-satisfied! You achieved what you set out to try and do!
