The Right SEO Strategy Ahead
What comes to your mind when you think of SEO; Is it link building, Meta tagging, keywords discovery, higher traffic & conversions, social bookmarking, making money online, social media, article submissions, Twitter, reputation management, web directory submissions, Google, optimization of pages, blogging …
While the SEO process includes all the elements mentioned above, what’s missing in this puzzle is how they all come together as a “focused strategy” to ensure the success of your online business.
Now there are many paths to SEO success, and all may work and show results (some temporarily), so how does one decide what’s the “right strategy” for their business?
The Right SEO Strategy for Your Business:
- Does your SEO strategy make common sense?
- Is it consistent?
- Is it immediate? Syndicate and Promote your Content
- Is it delivering “constant value” for the users?
- Can your SEO strategy be sustained over the lifetime of your business?
- Does it reflect the values and ethics of your organization?
Winning keyword strategy
Identify winning keywords which users are using to reach your website. Check traffic potential and competition of those keywords. Finalize on 10 to 15 primary keywords with maximum traffic potential Finalize on 12 to 15 secondary keywords each Month and write articles to target those keywords as well as support the primary keywords pages on the website. These are long tail versions of the keywords. Start with targeting city centric keywords (seo expert mumbai), and after some success, move to the country centric keywords (seo expert india), and finally global keywords (seo expert).
On page optimization strategy
Focus your pages i.e. page name, title, description, other relevant Meta tags, and the body content around a specific keyword. What this means is that you create ONE PAGE of content themed AROUND one KEYWORD you want to target, and include the keyword in your page name, title, description, and other relevant Meta tags on that page. Identify current site structure, and keyword mapping possibilities. Optimize each page of the website. Create better titles, description and tweak other relevant Meta tags for the existing pages. Set up Google Local account/ Google maps. Set up Google Analytics/ Google Webmaster (if not already done so)
Content strategy
Write 3 to 4 innovative articles each week, for posting to the Blog/ Article section on the website. The articles are written around specific secondary keywords we want to target.
Blogging strategy
We will be adding 3 to 4 articles on the blog each WEEK Submitting blog to 10 relevant blog search engines and 15 blog directories Get 4 – 5 prominent bloggers to do a review on the website every 2 Months
Weekly strategy (this is the heart of the activity)
Natural Link Building, Social Media & Reputation Management
Be consistent in creating unique, compelling and resourceful content in the form of articles/ blog posts – 3 to 4 a WEEK. The articles will be provided by the client each week. The article topics will be focused around keywords we want to target. Be consistent in building internal links and external links on the article pages. Internal links will be used from within the content to point to (with combinations of anchor text) another page of related information or the primary keyword pages on the website, and external links point out of your domain to other useful sites and resources. In moderation both are useful in determining the PR (Page Rank) of that page. Be consistent in syndication of the articles to 10 relevant and popular article submissions sites each WEEK. (Build Author Reputation, Traffic, Natural Links) Be consistent in promotion of the same content links across 10 – 15 relevant and popular social bookmarking sites each WEEK. (enhance Social Reputation, Traffic, Natural Links) Be consistent in attracting 3 to 5 user thumbs up/ reviews for same content each WEEK. (Enhance Social Reputation, Traffic, Natural Links) Be consistent in submitting content links to Twitter & Stumble Upon each WEEK Be consistent in participating in 3 to 4 relevant blogs, by blog commenting and forum postings each WEEK. (Natural Links, Website reputation/Page Rank) Be consistent in ALL OF THE ABOVE each WEEK
BENEFITS: Enhance Social reputation, Web reputation (Page Rank) and Link reputation (Natural and Diverse links) by participating in relevant social, user and web communities. Increase Traffic. Higher Ranking for your Keywords.
Monthly seo strategy
Be consistent in submitting to 100 web directories each MONTH Be consistent in submitting to 100 social media sites each MONTH Be consistent in submitting 1 Press release to Top 5 PR sites each MONTH. Be consistent in monitoring site traffic, keywords performance and competition Be consistent in sending Report on link submissions (with PR) & traffic analysis report each MONTH Be consistent in “adding user value” for the users in way of innovative and entertaining content ideas, quizzes, tools, podcasts and videos. Be consistent in ALL OF THE ABOVE each MONTH
BENEFITS: Build quality links from diverse web, user and social communities.

Webhosting
Also, you must decide which top level domain – .com, .org, .net or. (your specific country) – you want to have. Afterwards, you must find a domeinregistratie provider for you so you can start your activity on the Internet. Some people find this task tricky, but if you know really well what you are looking for, then it will be a pretty easy job. The most important thing you must do is to set your expectations in accordance with your needs for the future website.
This is the reason why, before you make any decision, whether we are talking about the domeinnaam or webhosting provider, the research is highly important. It is probably the only way to follow, so you won’t regret your decisions later. In this way, you can find out lots of details about all kind of hosting companies from their clients. All you will have to do is to make a quick search on the Internet and find the webmastering forums where people share their opinions about these companies. It is a great way to discover which providers are more appreciated by people and why.
Like any other decision in an enterprise, the price for a service is an important factor for the future cooperation between the two companies. Of course, you must remember that the cheapest offer is not necessarily in your best interest to accept; the same principle can be applied for the most expensive service. This is the reason why research is so important for everything that you do. You must find the company that can offer the best services at the right price.
One of the most important aspects when it comes to choosing the webhosting company, is to make sure that they can offer you the support you need, whenever you need it. It is really inefficient to pay a cheap price for a service, when you have to wait for a long time until somebody can help you with your problem. Imagine what it would mean to you to have an online store and to not be able to use the website in any way for a few days, until somebody from the hosting company will offer you support for your problem.
Another aspect that you must pay close attention to when it comes to choosing a webhosting provider is the size of your bandwidth that it is guaranteed. Some companies want to assure you that this size would be larger than they can practically offer you. All these are just a few words of advice for you, so you can avoid potential problems. This is the reason why you must remember that research and setting your needs at a realistic level are the keys to success in this business. Even if it will make you invest more time in these actions, you won’t be sorry and the cooperation between you and your hosting company will unfold smoothly.

SEO and Social Media ? What’s best, Links or Likes?
With social media marketing becoming so intertwined with search engine optimsiation (SEO) and link building, you wouldn’t be alone if you’re getting a bit confused. You may be wondering which gives the better ROI – SEO or social media? This debate seems to be ongoing. Many believe SEO is the better choice while others will bat for social media. This article will look at the differences between both approaches.
Traffic from search engines and traffic from social media, is there a difference?
Current trends show that more people are searching more what they need on search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. For example someone searching for ‘iPad reviews’ will most likely be looking to buy an iPad. When it comes to social networks, people don’t typically join to search for something, they join sites like Twitter and Facebook to network and make connections with friends and businesses alike. It is through these networks that they hope to discover new information that grabs their attention, or build new and trusted contacts. However, I did say people don’t typically join to search for something, the difference between search engines and social media is narrowing, with search engines looking to offer more social features and social networks looking to add better search capabilities. YouTube for example acts as both a social network and search engine and is considered by many to be the number 2 search engine behind Google.
How can this difference can impact your business?
When conducting SEO, your website will become optimised for certain keywords which you want to be found for. When ranking for words like ‘iPad reviews’, it tells you the visitors directed to you form the search engines are most likely interested in buying an iPad. But when social media comes into play this becomes a lot more difficult to monitor. All you know is that they have come to your site because they have seen content or a mention of your website on a particular social network. You need to think very carefully about what you are trying to achieve and use tools such as Google Analytics to test the different approaches, track visits to your website, where they are coming and monitor user behaviour.
Benefits of Social Media
Social Media offers the following benefits and drawbacks:
Benefits
1. More exposure for your business. Beneath the scenes of social media marketing what you are often trying to do is create a viral marketing strategy. When you carry out viral marketing, word of your brand spreads like a virus – it moves faster and faster as the ‘buzz’increases, and there doesn’t seem to be any way to stop it. If your marketing message has become viral, you can expect to see some serious growth in the number of visitors to your website.
2. The chance to build a following/community for your products which is not possible or is much more difficult to achieve with search engine optimisation.
3. Interacting with your audience is much easier. You are able to get feedback and customers can contact you instantly – win-win situation.
4. Your reach amongst your target audience increases rapidly. For example if your followers tweet about you then your follower’s followers also come to know about you. Hence, free promotion among your follower’s followers.
Drawbacks
Social media marketing is not an overnight process. It takes a lot of time to build a following on social networks and to establish your credibility.
Not all social networks are suitable for all businesses. Businesses who deal in premium (expensive) products or B2B business don’t typically expect sales from social networks and may not want to use Facebook for example, but there are normally always social networks that are suitable, for example LinkedIn is often a popular choice for these kinds of businesses as it allows them to build business connections and credibility.
Social media posts have a limited lifespan. If you are promoting your content on Twitter for example, you are only getting traffic through your most recent tweets and re-tweets. But, in SEO you are getting traffic for a much longer period providing your content ranks on the first page for your keywords.
Benefits of SEO
SEO offers the following benefits and drawbacks:
Benefits
1. Over 80% of us now use search engines when we are looking for information, or a company, product or service.
2. SEO is cost-effective as there is no payment to the search engine for having the privilege of being ranked within it. This is of course very different to other search engine marketing tactics such as Pay Per Click (sponsored listings) where you do have to pay for the privilege.
3. SEO often reaches a much more targeted audience, as visitors referred by search engine results will only visit your site if they are seeking specific information on your website, such as your products or services.
4. Research shows that most people never click on the sponsored listings because they don’t trust them. Approximately 80% of clicks are on natural listings and only 20% on paid listings.
Drawbacks
1. The major challenge of SEO is that there are billions of pages in the search engine indexes and your position is dependent on a constantly changing algorithm which is not published. Therefore, making your pages visible can require specialist knowledge, constant monitoring and the ability to respond.
2. In competitive sectors, it can be hard to get listed in the top few results for competitive keywords and this is when expensive alternatives such as Pay Per Click may have to be used.
3. SEO alone provides no way for somebody to share a result that they have found with their connections, therefore struggles to achieve the same viral affect that is possible with social media.
Conclusion
Both SEO and social media have their own benefits and drawbacks. Search engines and social media are the biggest source of traffic and this is something that no marketer can afford to ignore. You will need to have patience and you have to work hard to be successful in both SEO and social media marketing. There should be no one or the other type of approach; instead there should be a strategy that combines both social media marketing and SEO, one that can be traced back to your business goals and target market. It’s likely you will need the support of a Web Design and SEO company and perhaps even a consultant that provides social media marketing services to help you to get the ball rolling and provide some initial training. But don’t despair, there are hundreds of specialists you can get advice from and don’t forget to use blogs and forums where possible as there will be lots of people who are happy to provide further support and talk about their own experiences.

Off-Page Black Hat SEO Techniques That Can Get You Into Trouble With the Search Engines
1. Link farms-it is sometimes referred to as mutual admiration societies. This refers to several websites that are linking with each other with the sole purpose of increasing their link popularity. This usually done with the help of programs that automate the process.
Link farms are different from web directories because the latter arranges the websites according to their categories. Also, unlike link farms where anyone who is willing to provide reciprocal links can join, web directories undergo human examiners to check the validity of the sites.
Note for people who thinks that engaging in link farms is the solution to their problem: Link farms no longer work nowadays because search engines, especially Google, neither use link popularity as the sole basis for website ranking nor base link popularity solely on the number of incoming links.
Now, Google implements Page Ranks (PR). They assign numbers 1 to 10 to different websites-1 as the lowest and 10, the highest. The links that come from authoritative websites or with higher PR are deemed as powerful “votes”. Thus, the more powerful links you acquire, the better your ranking and the higher your PR rate will be.
Examples of websites that seem to have consistently high PR are government and school websites. These sites end with.gov or.edu, respectively
2. Hidden Links/Invisible Texts
This blackhat SEO technique is usually done in conjunction to link farms. Although the links may not be relevant to the content of the site, some webmasters do they realized that to retain the incoming link vote they must also maintain the outgoing link vote.
Webmasters create a separate page that they fill with keywords that may or may not be related to the topic of their site. This is definitely not for human users because the texts are invisible to the human eye, but visible to the search robots.
People who engage in link farms may agree to make their links to each other invisible to be interpreted by the search engines as link votes. Keep in mind that if search engines can detect invisible texts, they can also detect invisible links. If they can ban or sanction websites with invisible texts, they can also sanction websites with invisible links.
3. Spamming Forums and Blogs
This is done by creating several posts on forums and blog comment sections that contain links that point towards a particular website with the purpose of increasing link popularity. Most often than not, posts include short messages (hello, smiley face) and then the links
Other blackhat SEO enthusiasts go as far as using programs to automate the process. This process is easily performed on WordPress sites because it accepts HTML codes and links.
Bad news is, forums and blog owners are now more vigilant in blocking these spammers. They either ban or delete people who merely posts one-liners, smileys and links. Some even require people to reach a certain number of posts before they are allowed to post links.
For WordPress blogs, you can regulate these types of spammy messages by having a list of words that are frequently used by these spammers. WordPress, automatically send several comments that contain those words in the spam box. This is more efficient that IP Panning because other spammers can utilize dynamic IP add or use other computers.
In the eyes of the search engines, these techniques are downright deceptive and unethical. It takes advantage of their system’s flaws to rank in the search results. To prevent people from abusing the system, search engines constantly update their system to track down and sanction websites that utilize blackhat SEO techniques.

<!– @page { margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } –>
Search engine optimization helps you in getting traffic to your website and hence in increasing your business. Here are some tips to improve your SEO campaign and to direct effective and good traffic to your website.
1. Follow the Google Webmaster Guidelines
Before starting SEO one must read the Google Webmaster Guidelines thoroughly. These guidelines will let you know how your website will be indexed and ranked in Google. Read and follow all the three guidelines listed below:
Design and content guidelines
Technical guidelines
Quality guidelines
2. URL Selection for Link Building
Avoid using long or non-descriptive database generated Urls. Prefer those sites for submitting your URL’s which can convert visitors into leads or those which already have high page rank. You can also submit to those sites which appear even on the 2nd or 3rd page of SERP (Search Engine Result Page) for your keywords.
3. Extensive Keyword Research
Keyword research is done to find the optimum keywords for a website and needs to be done separately for each page. These optimum keywords help search engines to find the pages referred to by these keywords. Your keywords must be relevant to the page in which they are embedded. For this you need to do an extensive keyword research.
4. Competitor Analysis
Try to understand your competitors. Who are they? And what strategy are they usingfor SEO? Your competitors will never decrease, and the same way your competition goes. Check your competitors for their meta tags, content, backlinks, both On-page and Off-page factors.
5. Create Keyword Rich Meta Tags
You must include meta tags (title, description and keyword tags) in your web pages. Meta tags must not exceed their character limits. Your title tag must be unique for every page and must be relevant to the page. Description tag must include relevant keywords for that page. Your content must be qualitative as well as quantitative and must not be scattered. Avoid duplicate content pages. Navigation and sitemap of your website must be well organized.
6. Blog and Article Marketing
Keep updating your blog content regularly. Participate in forums and blog comments. Also keep interacting with your commenter. Use Social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, etc. for promoting your blog in a smart way as they are very powerful communication tools.
Article marketing is another way to promote your website. Write an impressive and informative article relevant to your website content and the work you do and do article marketing on various article directories. Submit your article on various bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon, Digg,Mixx etc.
7. Press Releases
Press releases provide good backlinks for your website if it ranks well in the search engine for your website keywords. To gain regular traffic to your website, deliver news or new events that are going to take place in your company. Keep distributing your press releases to Yahoo and Google news.
8. Alternate html content for Flash Website
Flash website has a drawback over regular websites, as search engines don’t execute action script for flash. Always include HTML code as an alternative in your flash website which will make search engines crawling easy.
9. SEO is an Ongoing Process
For every website SEO is a must and needs to be done regularly. Your website may be ranking high on a particular keyword for a particular month and the next month you find that your ranking has gone down. This is because your competitor is optimizing their website for that particular keyword.
Keep an eye on the statistics and analyze your website for the good and bad points. Always try to get a professional to perform SEO for your website as it requires the expertise and dedicated effort for which you may not have the time or the knowledge.

In particular, 5 critical disciplines are essential to look for and hire in your Northern Virginia Internet Marketing, SEO, SEM or PPC services provider. Don’t fall into the trap of doing one without the other, or hiring a service provider who claims to provide all 5 – but either doesn’t deliver or is simply too new or inexperienced to offer these.
Business MUST consider and execute on ALL 4 services, to be guaranteed some level of success. After reading below, contact KME Internet Marketing for more information.
(1) DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia Online Web Design and Branding – this is what your website looks like, how useful and effective it is for users to navigate, whether it meets usability and accessibility standards, the logos and branding elements, the colors, graphics and pictures, and the smart, integrated use of multimedia like videos or podcasts.
This service truly provides the “front window” to your business, and helps keep and convert interested customers who find and come to your site – whether via traditional computers of through mobile devices.
Many companies focus ONLY on this, and while claiming to deliver the other 3 services below, quite often are ineffective or simply inexperienced in these other areas. Test this out – check out the Google Page Rank of the websites that web design companies have in their portfolio – more times than not, it’s quite low. Look at the “title” of the website at the top of the browser window – does it speak to the core products or services offered? Try this test on the actual Northern Virginia SEO Services provider you’re considering – it’s quite interesting how many times a seeming “expert” doesn’t seem to execute the basics for their own business.
(2) Northern Virginia SEO Services, Search Engine Marketing and Social Media Optimization – this is how you attract customers to your website, using all kinds of techniques from Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to Social Media Optimization and Marketing, Blogging and Pay-Per-Click.
This service actually delivers the “right” customers to your website and business, through many Internet channels including search, advertising, directories, social media, micro-blogging/alerts and news/press releases or communications. Channels also obviously include references and reviews about the target website, whether as user-provided comments or corporate-supplied backlinks. This service also includes management of marketing and advertising campaigns, along with analysis and tracking of web traffic statistics and website use. Keeping track of your website traffic and demographics, from BOTH your website’s perspective AND the perspective of referring sites or services (like RSS feeds, emails, Twitter, etc.)is an extremely important skillset Northern Virginia SEO service providers need to demonstrate. Providers with certifications, such as a “Certified Google Adwords Professional” are ones to seek with superior skills in business and marketing analytics.
This MUST be done by experienced professionals, with controlled systems-engineering style methods, in parallel with web design/build efforts – without experienced service here, no one will ever see your great website, and your company branding, communciations efforts and web design money will have been wasted. This includes Internet AND “offline” marketing coordination and experience.
(3) Northern Virginia Web Technology and Hosting – this includes the underlying technology platforms, telecommunications, security, storage, operations/help desk and programming required to run your website, from the eCommerce or Shopping Cart applications your website uses to the availability, recoverability, performance, reliability, privacy and security requirements your your website and business needs. It’s the computer Hardware, Software and Operations/Maintenance (O&M) needed to successfully run a great website. Very experienced Northern Virginia SEO Service providers will maintain significant professional alliances with reputable Internet Service Providers (ISPs) with long track records of success, particularly for online businesses with significant online marketing and application management needs.
This also MUST also be done by experienced professionals, in parallel with web design/build efforts. What’s extremely important about this particular service offering and capability, however, is that you retain professional advice and services for the #4 critical service, below.
(4) Northern Virginia Marketing and Advertising Communications and Copywriting – this is perhaps the clearest differentiator between an experienced and successful Northern Virginia SEO services provider and any other SEO services provider one might find looking for really cheap and turnkey answers. Good writing skills take a long time to develop and tune, especially when the writing assignments frequently range across many diverse subject areas and publishing contexts. Writing articles is very different than blogging or twittering, and Facebook updates are not approached the same as LinkeInd entries…plus, the source, content, placement and links to/from the content will vary a lot depending on other contextual or semantic factors – perhaps the time of week, the style/reach of the publisher, the volume of material or the sophistication and target demographic of the intended readers. Not only does writing style and content need to be crafted for the reader, but also obviously for the automated search engine ‘bots, whose algorithms regarding inference and interpretation of content can be quite different, in different circumstances. This kind of writing prowess, using impeccable American English for regions like Northern Virginia and metro Washington DC, is a significantly unique trait to KME Internet Marketing, and most certainly not found through outsourcing to overseas SEO factories or providers without professional writers on staff.
The copywriting, composition and communications skills of a Northern Virginia SEO services provider can be very quickly determined through survey of online dialogue, blogging, postings, articles and other material supplied by the provider, in addition to the material presented in a proposal or services statement. Look also to check out the online authorship and reputation of your service provider’s staff – it they write great elsewhere, they’ll write fabulously for you.
(5) Northern Virginia Information Technology (IT) Management – this is the MOST critical element of your website implementation, and is MOST frequently where website efforts fall short, expectations aren’t met, and lots of money and time is wasted. Most Washington DC or Northern Virginia SEO service providers actually fall far short in this criteria, their businesses being run by web designers, programmers or “johnnie-come-lately” SEO experts – who simply don’t have the career experience, project management or Information Technology industry knowledge to successfully launch, market and maintain your business presence on the Internet, at a regional or global scale.
An experienced Information Technology Project Manager should be provided by your Northern Virginia SEO services provider to help plan, manage and coordinate the efforts of all website and Internet presence design, development, operations, marketing and promotion activities. The Technology Project Manager should be experienced with BOTH “Technical Project Management” (i.e. making sure the resources, schedule, services and financing are all aligned, for the project and with your other company activities), AND “Internet and New MediaTechnologies” (i.e. in-depth knowledge of the kinds of technologies and services being used for Internet-sourced websites and applications, including their risks, standards, best practices and availability of 3rd-party options). The Technology Project Manager will be well-versed in social media tools and techniques, multi-media digital asset management and optimization, newly available and useful sources and services for website optimization and management, “buzz” and important information regarding your presence, offerings or technologies within the Internet user and technologist communities, and many other elements available and utilized by all successful businesses with online presence and solution offerings.
This kind of experience is MOST OFTEN the “missing link” to a successful website, and great return on your Internet Technology and Marketing investment (ROI).
This kind of experience is KME Internet Marketing of Virginia’s greatest and most unique strength – Senior Technology Project Managers at affordable prices with BOTH regional Internet marketing and social media expertise AND decades of successful Internet systems engineering, architecture and online marketing experience with Globally-recognized firms, including EDS, IBM, Price-Waterhouse Coopers, and Accenture. This critical Information Technology Management and Northern Virginia SEO experience is highly unique, extremely valuable, and typically NOT available (ask them!) from:
local web design and graphic firms;
outsourced and offshore website development companies;
Audio/Visual design and production companies;
freelance designers, programmers or copywriters;
traditional advertising, marketing and PR companies;
brand new local SEO companies; and/or
ISPs/Domain Name registrars.
This critical Information Technology Project Management, Digital Asset Optimization and Internet Systems Engineering experience IS available here, at KME Internet Marketing and Partners.
To conclude, when hiring a Washington DC, Southern and Suburban Maryland, Northern Virginia SEO services provider, be sure to take seriously into account the five principle differentiators discussed in this article – for maximum return on your investment (ROI), lowest total cost of ownership (TCO), best management and maintenance of your professional and/or corporate reputation, and overall most satisfying and profitable long-lasting relationship and experience.
One additional point – does your Northern Virginia SEO Services provider have a solid and distinct community reputation, participating not only in philanthropic and community service events, but contributing to the local business and nonprofit environment – basically, do they “give back”? In our new era of “green is good” and “give forward”, providers like KME Internet Marketing who offer free Internet Marketing for nonprofits, run community blogs and directories (like Gateway to Loudoun County and Dulles South Online), support specific, family-friendly regional community service organizations (like Paws4People) and are active in local business community events and services (like Loudoun County, Fairfax and Dulles Chambers of Commerce) are the ones to take special note of, and work most closely with.
